Join us this Fall for a weekend women’s event on prayer. We are fortunate to have Nairy Ohanian as our guest speaker! She is a Cross Cultural Counselor with Barnabas International providing pastoral and clinical care for workers around the globe. Her own experience on the field includes over 25 years living in Armenia a the Middle East. Additionally, she is an author and an international speaker. Who? Women (and teens) of Neelsville and their guests!
When? Friday, October 11 from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, October 12 from 9 am to 4 pm
Where? Friday in the Welcome Center of the main building and, weather permitting, outdoors behind the church. Saturday in the Historic Chapel.
What to Expect? Friday night - lesson introduction, community building, fun and dessert. Saturday - worship, two teaching sessions from our speaker on Prayer, small group discussions, more fun, continental breakfast and lunch and prayer of course!

$35 fee includes dessert Friday night, and continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
If paying by check, make it payable to Neelsville Presbyterian Church and note "Women's Retreat" in the memo. Checks can be mailed to the Church Office or placed in the offering plate.
Note that Neelsville incurs a fee for online payments.
Nairy Ohanian
Nairy is a Cross Cultural Counselor with Barnabas International providing pastoral and clinical care for workers around the globe. Her own experience on the field includes over 25 years living in Armenia and the Middle East. She was involved in university student outreach, teaching English, and currently counseling, training and mentoring leaders on the field. Having been to 51 nations, she has decided Lebanon is her favorite country!
She is also an international speaker and trained in trauma and grief healing. She has published a book “Now, Can You Trust Me?” about her daily life on the field in Armenia. She has taught and written numerous articles on care for global workers such as; Stress and Burnout, Cultural Adjustment, Grief, Loss and Transitions, Singleness, Single Sexuality, Work Life Balance, Self-Care, Loneliness, Re-Entry, and more.
When she is not on the field she resides in Gaithersburg, MD. She was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD and has attended Atonement Presbyterian from the age of 4! If you are curious about her name she is of Armenian descent. And most curious, she has known Pastor Jeff and Val longer than anyone at Neelsville! She attended Western Maryland College with them in the late 80's!
When Nairy is not in an airplane or counseling she enjoys fitness, biking, table-tennis, painting watercolors and art museums.
